Summer Recipe Swap is now FULL

Dear Crafters,

in my last mail out I proposed a new swap: a SUMMER RECIPE SWAP in an album.  This swap is now full, all 15 spots have been taken.

Please contact me, if you would like to go on a waiting list for a new group.  In case we find 15 more people interested in swapping summer recipes, I will open a 2nd group (please read below for more details).

Summer Recipe Swap and Album

Are you interested in participating in a fun summer recipe swap, including a Stampin'Up 6"X6" ring album in Natural, Real Red or Navy, 10 page protectors, 20 sheets of 6"X6" cardstock and the Decor Element "EAT" for the front page?

 If so, please register by May 28, pick up your goodies by June 8 decorate 15 same pages and have them back to me by June 20.  Receive  15 recipes from other participants through me by June 26.

Cost for this swap is $39, which pays for the album, cardstock pageprotectors and front cover decoartions.

Technique Tuesday: Baby Wipe Technique

You will need the following supplies:

. Classic Ink Refills
. Baby Wipes
. Card stock

1. Squeeze a few drops of ink on a baby wipe; the moistened material absorbs the colours and creates a one-of-a-kind ink pad. 



2. You can then gently swipe the wipe over your card stock to create a background.

 
3. Or for another approach, squeeze out drops large enough for a stamp, ink your stamp, and stamp it on the card stock.

Technique Tuesday: Faux Linen

Hope your long weekend was enjoyable and relaxing!

 

Faux Linen

  Supplies needed:

. Glossy White card stock
. Sanding Block
. Stamping sponge or sponge dauber
. Classic Ink

1. Begin by stamping your image on Glossy White card stock. (Note that this technique works best with our Glossy White card stock because of the sanding involved.)

2. Next, rub a sanding block over the surface of the card from top to bottom, then from side to side. How many times you sand the surface and how much pressure you apply will determine the final result.

3. Finally, ink a stamping sponge or sponge dauber, and rub the ink over the sanded surface to create the linen look.

Give this one a try.  It looks impressive.

Technique Tuesday: Reverse Spotlighting

Directions:

Give this fun technique a try today.  It makes your projects vibrant and interesting.

 

 

 

1. Stamp images in Basic Black ink.

 

 

2. Punch random holes in stamped images (1-3/8" and 1/2" Circle punches used in example).

 

 

 

3. Stamp and cut out the same image on pieces of coloured card stock.

 

4. Line up and mount images behind punched holes.

 

 

 

 

 

5. Trim overlaying images with scissors or paper cutter.

 

 

 

 

6. Mount images into place for completed project.

Technique Tuesday: Coloured Border

Step 1

Start out by punching a border along the long front line of your card.  I have used #118402 Scallop Trim Border Punch, $22.95.

 

 

Step 2

Lay a piece of scrap paper just below the border, leaving 1/8" to achieve a crisp line through sponging ink away from the scrap paper, across the punched border.  Start at the top and move all the way to the bottom.  I am using the BASIC GRAY CLASSIC ink, #109120 $7.25 on Blushing Bride Cardstock.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now, decorate the card to your liking.
