Take a piece of white paper and tear it along the longer edge, so that you have peaks. Ink up a sponge wedge or a sponge dauber with classic ink. Lay torn edges of paper over white card stock, drag sponge across torn edges onto cardstock below. Start at the top of your cardstock and move the scrap paper down about an inch each time. Repeat until the entire white cardstock is covered with the FAUX RIPPED PAPER technique.
Decorate the card to your liking,

If you are like me, you tend to use a new supply item lots, when you first get it. One of the new items I got in my last order was the LATTICE BIGZ DIE, #115958, a Stampin'Up exclusive ($29.95).
Here are a couple of card ideas, using this Lattice Die in other ways, than the obvious:).
* this Lattice die was designed as a repeatable image, allowing you to create beautiful designs on larger projects as well.
* you can cut through multiple sheets of card stock, Texture Cuts wood sheets, window sheets, Décor Elements sheets, and more
* you use it with the Sizzix Big Shot Die Cut Machine and standard cutting pads G281, #113439, ($132.95 - great item to purchase during SAB, as you are getting two free stamp sets of your choice).
* the die size is: 5-1/2" x 6"
Enjoy your Monday and HAPPY STAMPING,

Last week, I posted the steps for EMBOSS RESIST.
This week, I would like to add on to this fun and surprising technique.
Supplies Needed:
#102283 VersaMark Embossing ink, $9.95
#102892 Sponge Daubers, $14.50 for 12
#109130 Clear Embossing Powder, $5.95
#100005 Heat Tool $38.95
#102599 Glossy card stock, $7.25
# four complementing classic inks
Ink up your image in VERSAMARK ink and stamp it onto GLOSSY cardstock. Sprinkle clear embossing powder over the image and heat set the image with the heat tool.
Step 2
Cut four 1" strips from POST-IT notes to cover the embossed image.
Peel off 1 strip of sticky notes and ink this part with the lightest colour, using sponge daubers to apply ink over the embossed image. Put the sticky note back on and take the next sticky note strip off to ink this spot with a slightly darker ink shade.
Repeat a third and fourth time until the entire glossy card stock is covered in four shades of ink. Take a soft dry cloth and wipe off access ink from the embossed image to make it stand out even more.
Finish the greeting card by decorating it to your liking.
Thanks for stopping by today for a new TECHNIQUE TUESDAY post.

Supplies Needed:
. #102283 VersaMark Embossing ink, $9.95
. #102395 Brayer, $15.50 or #102892 Sponge Daubers, $14.50 for 12
. #109130 Clear Embossing Powder, $5.95
. #100005 Heat Tool $38.95
. #102599 Glossy card stock, $7.25
1. Ink up your image in VERSAMARK ink and stamp it onto GLOSSY cardstock. Once you've embossed the image, ink a brayer (or sponge daubers) with your choice of Classic ink by rolling the brayer directly on the ink pad.

2. Run the brayer directly over the embossed image, and then carefully wipe the ink from your image with a tissue. The embossed image will "resist" being coloured by the ink, leaving it to pop out from a background of colour!
Thanks for stopping by today, next Tuesday I will show you a varieation of this technique.

This weekend was filled with ever changing surprise weather.
Friday I was driving home from Comox to Campbell River on the Inland Island Highway in a snow chaos to wake up on Saturday morning to a beautiful sunny blue sky.
We spend this beautiful day once again up the mountain skiing and enjoyed powder and sunshine.
This cute gift bag is from my Stampin'Up website. For a complete list of supplies click here.
